Help the children in Rwanda to school!
Although the economy and stability of Rwanda are growing rapidly, nearly half of the population lives below the poverty line. The level of education is relatively low. Primary education is in principle free of charge, but in practice this is not the case! The parents of school-age children often have to pay the compulsory school costs themselves, such as clothing, school lunch, notepads and pens.In addition, a so-called PTA contribution often has to be paid in addition to the often very low salaries of the teachers. If those fees are not paid, the children in question are - despite compulsory education - not allowed to go to school! Depending on the school and training followed the total costs range from € 10,= to € 100,== per child and school term. That is an impossible task for most poor families.
We think it is important to break the cycle of poverty by giving children a real chance for a better future. We raise money - among others via our website Support Rwanda (see the link below) - so that at least the 33 children from the very poor families we support, will be able to go to school. An average amount of € 2.000,= must be paid each school term for this (N.B. a school year has three school terms). Therefore every donation for this is very welcome. And because these costs have to be paid for several years, we also call on the donors in our actions to register as a regular donor via our website Support Rwanda
